How do you track "consumables" like CDs, DVDs, laser proofs?

In our old system, we were able to track "items" or rather things other than time. We used this to track color laser prints, epson proofs, DVDs, CDs, FedEx shipments etc.

How would you suggest we do that in intervals?

Intervals definitely is not super strong with consumables, but Project Expenses may do the trick. In the detail section of a project an expense can be added that includes what it cost you and what you want it to cost the client.

Michael can you explain this a bit more please?
