it would be nice to be able to tell what time entries were manually entered by hand, or edited. and perhaps the time that it was edited from (like a little floating pop up). -

we have the absolutely same need - we want our employees to use the timers' "play/pause/stop" functionality.
only a admin should be able to edit or add time to a task/project.
with this feature it would be very easy to handle employees work-time per month! -

Regarding seeing when time was edited or entered there is a column for "last modified" on the CSV export of a timesheet. If you go to the timesheet page and click on the CSV export icon you should see it. This went live last week and it is pretty hidden intentionally but it may come in handy.
