My email preference is set to not email me on new task assignments, but I just got an email? Why?

    In the "My Account" section each user can control which emails they receive from Intervals. We believe that email is a terrible way to manage work so the emails are gentle pushes back into Intervals. Personally, I find the emails very helpful, but if your account generates a lot of activity you may want to dial down a few of the emails.

    If the New task assignments preference has been unchecked, there is one scenario where an email will be sent. If the task severity is set to "showstopper" an email will be sent to the assignee even if they have their preference disabled. The thinking behind this is that "showstopper" is used sparingly and often in crisis so the assignee should be alerted no matter what.
