Change default task status?

   Anybody know if it is possible to change the default task status from Open to something else. If so, how? We're supposed to start each task as Assigned, and the assignee switches it to Open when they accept it. I remember to do this close to 2% of the time and making it automatic would really help.

   There is not a way to specify the default task status when a new task is created at this time and it will default to Open but I added this to our list of potential task modifications to consider.
