What makes a task 'not started'?

On the Home page and Project Dashboard page there are pie charts that show various statuses on tasks. One of the types of status is "not started".
Intervals considers a task "not started" if no time has been applied to it. Therefore, you can have a running timer or make a comment on the task and it will still be considered not started. As soon as any time is applied to the task, it ceases to be "not started". -
