What makes a task 'not started'?

    On the Home page and Project Dashboard page there are pie charts that show various statuses on tasks. One of the types of status is "not started".

    Intervals considers a task "not started" if no time has been applied to it. Therefore, you can have a running timer or make a comment on the task and it will still be considered not started. As soon as any time is applied to the task, it ceases to be "not started".

    We have another time entry system that we are going to have to keep using so I am wondering if there is anyway to manually move a task to "started".

    Unfortunately there is not a way to manually mark a task as started at this time. The API could potentially be used for this. If that is something you are interested in exploring here is some information on the API.
