New invoicing functionality helps businesses attain yet another level of productivity

(CSRwire) SANTA BARBARA, CA – October 3, 2007 – Pelago announced today an important upgrade to Intervals, its web-based time and task management system. Intervals has added invoicing capability to further streamline the workflow and accounting processes of small businesses, particularly those engaged in the creative services industries or those that bill on a hourly basis.

Intervals users are now able to turn their tracked hours directly into invoices, saving time and resources. With this new service, companies can experience better cash flow and quicker invoicing—simply select a project, input start and end dates, and instantly create an invoice for all work performed during that period of time. Businesses that do not bill on an hourly basis can generate standalone invoices not specifically linked to timesheets or work performed.

“We felt Intervals would not be complete without the invoicing functionality,” said Braden Jones, CEO of Pelago. “Our customers have been reporting significant improvements in the overall productivity of their businesses since we launched Intervals, but invoicing adds yet another layer of value and efficiency.”

Intervals invoices can be easily exported to a user’s desktop, converted to PDF, or emailed. Account and project managers can also track payment status and history related to each invoice, and receive system-generated email reminders about overdue invoices. “The invoicing and payment tracking functionalities are particularly valuable to those businesses that do not use software such as QuickBooks to manage their accounting,” said Michael Payne, Chief Architect of Intervals and a co-founder of Pelago. Although, he adds, “We certainly plan on releasing a second invoicing upgrade in the next several months that will enable full QuickBooks integration for those businesses that do use it.”

The new invoicing functionality is also fully integrated with Intervals’ international support, which means that Intervals users anywhere in the world can generate invoices in their local date and currency format. Currently, customers in 51 different countries use Intervals.

And because Intervals is hosted software, managers who travel on the job can relax, knowing that they can access their company’s invoices and payment status online—no matter where they are in the world.
